New Store Fixtures

Are you in the market to bring some new store fixtures into your retail store? Has it been a while since you have purchased retail store fixtures and you are wondering what is out there? The store fixture industry has exploded even in the last five years. The introduction of online shopping has forced retailers to step up their display methods to keep the attention of their customers. All of these types of hangers are important to consider with the specific products of any retail store. They have become important display devices to communicate the style and value of particular garments.

Wall displays have advances tremendously, including slatwall and gridwall displays. These wall display methods provide countless accessories that can accommodate most any product. They are extremely versatile, and for this reason, are extremely useful for retail stores that have a large variety of products, such as hardware stores or electronic stores. Slatwall displays now come in a variety of colors and textures, bringing more visually appealing possibilities than in the recent past. The world of display cases, tables, and shelves has grown immensely. There is no reason why every retail store should not have the perfect showcases for their floor layout. A large selection of price ranges are also available in today's market due to the diverse materials used to build these types of display unites. It is important to really explore what is out their and pick the right displays for your establishment. It will make a huge difference in everyday work as well as customer intrigue.

Country Store Fixtures and Decor Transport Customers to a Simpler Time and Place

Country stores are popular destinations in small towns and tourist hot spots across the country. Country store retailers rely on home spun products, as well as fixtures and d?cor when it comes to turning their store into a destination.

Hand cooked peanuts, homemade candles and fresh picked apples are part of the allure of country stores. But the country store fixtures and atmosphere have become just as important as products when it comes to drawing large crowds and finding success running a country store. The theme of a country store has to go beyond just the products. A successful country store is like a time machine, providing an environment that reminds shoppers of a simpler time in America.

Shelving is a great place to start. Wherever possible, retailers should use wooden country store fixtures and shelving to create an old time atmosphere as customers browse through the aisles. In addition to wooden shelving, bushel baskets have also become popular tools for displaying products in country stores.

When it comes to decor, use ?anything that is old or looks old? to create authentic accent pieces. Anything from old car parts to 5 cent soda signs will do the trick. When it comes to lighting, wall mounted electric lanterns and candles are popular choices for country store fixtures.

If you?re short on inspiration, don?t be afraid to flip through a Norman Rockwell calendar or call on older relatives and friends to help you deliver authenticity to your environment?s design. When in doubt, rent a movie that?s set in the time period you?re trying to recreate. Sometimes retailers just need to find that small spark of inspiration that gets them headed down the right path.

Maxium Profits from proper store fixture displays

When creating the layout and visuals for your retail location, you must remember that every surface in the store is an opportunity for valuable product promotion. Any medium-sized boutique store or larger will probably require some sort of aisle structure in its layout. This is simply the most efficient way to direct traffic, utilize space, and organize merchandise. If you are using any aisles in your layout, you should consider the "end-cap" space. Unfortunately end-caps tend to summon visions of supermarkets, with mountains of cereal boxes piled high on every end-cap to promote the daily special. You may be thinking that this marketing technique is effective enough for the grocery store, but you are looking to create a more sophisticated atmosphere in your retail location. However, end-cap displays need not appear so base.

The end-cap of an aisle is an ideal place to feature select merchandise. Any new product or new information can be attractively, stylishly introduced to your customers when you create an end-cap display. Recently, super-retailer Wal-Mart set an extremely ambitious sales goal for a certain type of light bulb. Consumers don't tend to receive their information about light-bulbs from advertising or news, they just buy what they've always bought. Wal-Mart needed an innovative way to introduce new information about this product, and convince people to give it a try. They abandoned the typical mountain-of-cereal-boxes model and created a diorama for the end-cap of the light bulb isle that prominently displayed this certain type of light bulb and gave valuable information about the product. As a result, they saw a jump in revenue. A similar approach can be used to increase information about any variety of products--from cookware to blue jeans, from cologne to shampoo. Don't let this valuable surface space go to waste in your retail store--with directed visual merchandising end-cap displays can be stylish and informative, and will definitely boost sales.

For Lighting Fixtures and Landscape Lighting Get Solar Power Installed

Solar power is utterly simple, and is definitely the wave of the future. A component called a photovoltaic cell collects energy from the sun and is converted into electricity. There are no moving parts, liquids or chemicals involved in the process. The cells are connected together on a solar panel, and they are hooked up in series and allowing the cells to work in unison. The energy that is generated is direct current which is then stored in a battery. A device called an inverter converts the DC to AC for household use. Since only a small amount of current is generated by each cell, there are as a rule a lot of panels required to run your entire house on solar energy.

Large-scale solar conversion projects cost about $10-$12 per watt to install. This remarkable technology can definitely be used in and around the home for landscape lighting and all your outdoor lighting fixtures. As an example, if you wanted to operate your lighting fixtures and a few small appliances around the home the solar installation would cost approximately $1000.

With escalating energy costs, this type of energy is totally renewable and is pollution-free, so there is a remarkable future ahead! It is an amazing source of power and is available all over the planet, free of charge. As technology advances, the cost of photovoltaic cells will come down, and this source of energy will become more and more economical to install and use. There are a small number of major oil companies that have committed large amounts of research capital into solar research. It is quite obvious that these companies see an end in sight when it pertains to relying on oil. The future of energy worldwide will depend upon these forward-thinking people and the innovative technology they use to improve and develop this renewable and free energy source.

How to Choose Bathroom Plumbing Fixtures for Your Home

Whether building a new home or remodeling, you'll find there are many plumbing fixtures and accessories available. The choices can seem overwhelming, and you'll want to make sure the items you choose are both durable and decorative. Using the guide below, choose bathroom plumbing fixtures that will fit well with your decor plans while providing adequate use for the long term.

Fixtures for the bathroom should be practical and durable. They should be tough enough to withstand years of usage without wearing easily, rusting, or molding. Consider your entire décor including the colors of your floors and walls and the style used on other items in the room.

Choosing a Bathtub

When choosing a bathtub, there are four basic bathtub styles. The old-type enamel cast-iron bathtub with the China-glazing finish is popular with new constructions. It is extremely heavy and offers quietness while being filled with water. This tub usually comes as a basic five-foot tub with few styles to choose from. The average price is about $250.

Next, there's the molded plastic bathtub, which resembles the cast-iron tubs but is usually thicker. This tub is more lightweight and great for remodeling - especially when tile is already on the floor. This type of bathtub can come in several styles and colors, including a full shower/tub combination with built-in walls. It ranges in price from $250 upward.

The enameled steel tub comes in white or a variety of colors and is finished with a ceramic-glazed material. This tub is priced at around $250. Next is the fiberglass tub, which can be installed on a platform or in the floor. It comes in different shapes and sizes. Some have spa features as well. This type of tub is high-priced, some even costing in the thousands of dollars.

Shower stalls come in several styles such as a pre-built shower base, fabricated shower stall, and the fiberglass enclosed shower stall. Pricing varies according to size, style, and brand name.

Choosing a Toilet

The toilet should be comfortable and practical. It doesn't have to be fancy, but sometimes paying more means getting better quality. There are now toilets with higher gallons/flush capabilities - up to the government's standard of 1.6 gallons per flush. If you want to save on your water bill, opt for an efficiency toilet that flushes 1.3 gallons per flush. There are also dual-flush toilets that offer two flush buttons - one for liquid waste removal and one for solid waste removal. The liquid waste button, of course, uses less water per flush.

Bathroom Sink Options

The bathroom sink is important and has many uses - from brushing your teeth to shaving to facial cleansings each night! A popular bathroom sink is the V-shaped vessel sink bowl, which is made of glass, copper or stainless steel. There are also bathroom vanities with the sink already built-in for easy installation. Types of sinks include pedestal sinks, which provide no storage underneath, under-counter sinks, and above-counter sinks.

Faucets and Other Bathroom Items

Choose durable faucets made of materials that are rust-free and provide an even flow of water. With small children, you'll want to be sure the faucets have temperature settings built in to prevent scalding. For decor purposes, choose matching faucets for the bathtub and sink. Also, be sure the faucet will last for many years without dripping. Faucets come in many shapes and styles - some are plain and some are fancy. They are priced from $40. Some popular finishes for faucets include brass, brushed nickel, oiled bronze, and the popular chrome plate.

Accessorize your bathroom with other fixtures and accessories to complete your decor. You can go online to find great products in almost any style you need. Also, you can find other home accessories online such as ironing centers, door hardware, cabinet hardware, towel warmers, and more.

Choose your bathroom plumbing fixtures wisely for a pleasant and long-lasting bathroom.

Environmentally Friendly Low Flow Bathroom Fixtures

Most of us want to be more conscious about the environment and what we can do to protect it. It can be difficult to know what to do though, especially when you don't want to give up comfort or safety to do so. Fortunately, there are ways that we can be environmentally friendly and make you feel good about our lifestyle, too.

You may have heard from friends or family that low flow fixtures don't work, but that isn't always true if you know what you're looking for. The choices available for low flow toilets actually can provide you with a great toilet at a relatively low cost. And the best part is that you could save up to $100 a year on your water bill. Some cities such as Albuquerque, New Mexico and El Paso, Texas are even offering a rebate to those willing to install the toilets. So check with your city's water utility division to find out if it is offered in your area.

Don't let what you've heard about low flow toilets in the past scare you. Things have changed a lot over the years, and low flow toilets are better than ever. When looking for a low flow toilet, consider a pressure-assist flush toilet, which will relieve the fear of plumbing problems because of a poor flush. TOTO USA is a great place to begin as they carry quite a few good low flow picks from under $200.00. But even though you may be able to get a low flow toilet for as low as $100, remember that you do get what you pay for. This is not the place to skimp on price. A higher quality toilet will cost you more money, but it should pay off in your utility bills in the long run.

Terry Love, a low flow toilet guru, knows all about low flow toilets and recommends TOTO's UltraMax. And anyone wanting a low flow toilet should consider reading his report for Consumer Reports as Love is considered to be the most authoritative word on leading low flow toilets.

Saving money and protecting the environment aren't the only piece of good news. Most low flow items apart from a toilet are very easy for the average homeowner to install. In fact, it can be as simple as changing your light bulbs. Replacing your incandescent bulbs with compact fluorescent bulbs (CFLS) will only take you a couple of minutes, but will save energy in your home. If you are replacing the whole light fixture in your bathroom, look for energy efficient fixtures, as well.

Change your other fixtures in your bathroom, such as the showerhead and sink faucet to low flow versions, too. Many people worry that low flow fixtures will not provide enough water pressure. Try faucet aerators that provide pressure with velocity and can run as low as $1.50. Just because there is less water, doesn't mean there has to be less water pressure. Think about getting controls installed that will allow you to adjust the pressure so that you don't feel as if you can't get enough pressure from your showerhead. But many good showerheads on the market today will give you enough pressure while saving water.

Being environmentally friendly is easier than it seems. And once you know what products are out there, you can have a beautiful and comfortable bathroom that saves you money and protects the environment.

Residential Lighting Fixtures

One of the most important, yet least considered aspects of residential lighting is ambient fill lighting. Ambient fill lighting is a soft warm light that normally gives the room a comfortable glow by washing light across the ceiling. Residential lighting fixtures include portable and non-portable lighting fixtures. Residential lighting includes the areas to be lighted inside and around a house.

While selecting residential lighting fixtures, one important point to be remembered is that the lights chosen for the interior and the exterior of the house complement each other. Residential lighting includes staircase and building lighting as well. If the area around a house is small and surrounded by trees, bushes or artifacts then small, separate or specially designed lights can be located at suitable points. Lighting fixtures add a special touch and they are available in so many different styles that exterior décor can be matched easily with the interior décor of the house. In a house, different rooms require different lighting. The door entrances of the house when illuminated look inviting and safe. For the dining room, a drop bowl provides a wonderful source of indirect light that covers the entire room. A light switch can be placed in the bedroom to switch on exterior lights incase of emergency. For the area around the house, there are different residential lighting fixtures for the sports areas, pathways, front doors, gates, porches, gardens, and garages. Hence while selecting fixtures for residential lighting, the specific area to be lighted is to be given due importance.

When selecting residential lighting fixtures it is important to be attentive about the size and layout of the residential complex as well the houses within it. Lighting fixtures need to be well distributed around the house and grounds. Preference may be given to soft warm lighting for a general effect over the entire space. Separate on-off switches can be provided for security and play areas. Sensors can be installed to activate specific security lighting. Hence, the right choice of residential lightings can enhance the beauty of the entire residential complex.
